Bingo Summit Places Running Out
If you still haven't made your mind up as to whether or not you will attend, don't forget that this will be one of the few opportunities that everyone from the online Bingo world will have to get together and discuss important issues surrounding the future development of the game, its marketing and legal implications under the new Gambling Law. You can check out the full agenda for the event here or book your tickets here. Big Bingo WinnersOnline Bingo has been the area for a couple of massive wins the last couple of weeks. We featured Kerchingo in last month's newsletter. The one million pound game was won by a pensioner from Bristol, 62 year old Pauline Clark. There's been a massive buzz around the whole Kerchingo game, and the worthy winner has generated some nice PR as well. Scotland The LuckyContinuing on the big money theme, if you want to be in with an improved chance of winning the daily National Bingo Game, it might be a good idea to move up to Scotland. For the third year in a row, a Scottish club has been the luckiest winner when it comes to the amount of National Game prizes won there. However, not to be outdone, the single biggest prize was awarded to winner at a club south of the border. £453,081 was won by someone playing the special Mother's Day Game this year at Lakeside Bingo Club. Gala Bingo Raise Funds For Flood VictimsCarrying on from the excellent charity work they did at the start of the year with Red Nose Day, Gala Bingo are to be commended for once again taking the time to do charity work as part of their day to day business. On August the 5th they held a range of special games across their 171 clubs, to raise funds for people affected by the recent terrible flooding in England. With collections and a special game, £20,000 was raised to help the victims of the flood. Michael Edwards - Gala Bingo Caller Of The YearSticking with Gala, we should also send out our congratulations to the chain's new Bingo Caller Of The Year, Michael Edwards. Early in July, the caller from the St Ann's club in Nottingham became the 2007 Gala Bingo Caller Of The Year. He wins himself a £500 prize, plus a trip for two to Los Angeles. Our resident columnist Brett Hyrjak can tell him what to expect out there. Brett's Corner - SmokingSpeaking of Brett, be certain to take a look at his latest column where he shares his experience of working in a post smoking ban hall, compared to the experience when everyone was puffing like chimneys.
