Buckingham Bingo, Preston - History And Background

Preston Buckingham Bingo was opened in March 2007 by former actress Wendi Peters who played 'nightmare fish-wife' Cilla in Coronation Street. Purpose built at a cost of £4.1 million, it was a state-of-the-art facility, employing 27 employees. It closed at the end of March 2009 due to overall losses made by its owners Buckingham Bingo, and losses at the Preston site in particular. The future of the site is as yet unknown.
