Southcombe Bingo And Social Club History And Background

Ilfracombe's only bingo hall has closed. This is particularly sad, as the club was an independent, it's owner having said to have been tearful at having to announce the closure to his regulars. Seaside towns are traditionally retirement spots, and Ilfracombe is no exception, and regrettably this club provided fun and a sense of community for many elderly residents who will be bereft of a meeting place. The harsh economic fact was that it's owner could not meet the rise in rent levied by the premises' owner. We do not know what has become of the club since, so if you have any information about the club's present or past please contact us and let us know.
