Riva Bingo Aberdeen, Queens Links Background And History
Riva Bingo Aberdeen was located in the Queens Link Leisure Park, employing almost 30 people. Its demise would appear to have been more a fiscal imperative than part of a culling operation as the club was reportedly actually making a loss. In such unfortunate circumstances this is often the only option left open to the owner of the club - closure (in the most final sense).
A quite recent club, it opened its doors in 1999 at a cost of four million pounds, and although its members were upset at the closure it was unfortunate that there were not enough of them to keep the club afloat financially.
