Club Background And History
Located in an impressive old building, the Grand has been operating bingo as an independent since the late seventies. The venue was originally a 1,000 seat cinema/theatre which opened in 1922. The name 'Grand' was highly appropriate, as it had for instance, a sliding roof and a lift, neither of which were common in the era. A Grade II listed building, it was originally an independent, although it was bought out by Savoy Cinemas. It was renamed the 'Grand Super Cinema' after 1935, and was bought out by an independent who operated from 1953 until 1975 when it became a bingo club.

A very friendly small family owned bingo club. The staff are so helpful, nothing is too much trouble for them. You are made very welcome.
