Club Background And History
Sunderland Mecca Bingo offers bingo players the opportunity to play bingo everyday, afternoon and evening, and it regularly runs promotions to give you better value for your money.
Sunderland Mecca resides in what was originally the 'Regal', a very large theatre that opened in 1932. Originally there were 10 dressing rooms, and a very impressive stage depth of 40 feet. In 1955 it was taken over by Rank, renamed the Odeon, and later split for triple cinema screenings. It was closed in 1982, and left unused, until it was reopened as Top Rank Bingo, and later changed ownership to Mecca Bingo.
There's seating for 1250, and 50 EBingo terminals. There is one bar, and a cafe. For disabled patrons there are 7 disabled seats, 1 disabled toilet, and disabled access. Please contact us if you can give us more information on this club's background or history.
