Club Background And History
Although located in the premises of what was previously a cinema, Carlton Stirling is a modern establishment with seating for up to 1000 players, and they do have EBingo on offer. It's right in the middle of town and easy to get to via bus or train, and has disabled facilities and access. There's a bar and bistro, and many promotions on offer, so give them a call to see which sessions will give you the best value for money.
The venue originally opened in 1938 as the Allanpark Cinema. Designed by Sam Runcie, it had seating for 1,700, but the original layout changed in 1977 when it was twinned by owners Caledonian Associated Cinemas who took over in 1969. Bought out by Carlton, films were screened up until 2008, when its sole function became that of a bingo hall.

Carlton History
The carlton bingo hall was originally a cinema taken over by Caledonian Associated Cinemas who took the unusual step of splitting the cinema so that bingo was in the stalls and twin cinemas upstairs. This cinema continued until a few years ago when a multiplex was opened which caused the decision to close the cinema side was taken as it was taking cinema trade from them this bingo hall was the only one in the C.A.C. chain which had a cinema upstairs.

Found this club to be the friendliest club I've been to in a long time. There's definately a 'Nothing's too much trouble' environment taking place there. I came down from Glasgow for the weekend and I had a great time. I'll be back!
