Club Background And History
South Shields Mecca Bingo is located in the premises of an old cinema and offers bingo players the opportunity to play bingo everyday, afternoon and evening, and it regularly runs promotions to give you better value for your money.
The building was originally a cinema, the 'Regent', which opened in 1935 with seating for over 1,800 cinema goers. An independent, it was equipped for stage performances, and lasted until 1996, when it was taken over by Mecca Bingo and converted for bingo use.
There's seating for 1200, and 50 EBingo terminals. There are two bars, and a cafe, and 40 car parking spaces. For disabled patrons there are 12 disabled seats, 1 disabled toilet, and disabled access. Please contact us if you can give us more information on this club's background or history.
