Club Background And History
Shrewsbury Gala Bingo is located in the premises of an old cinema and offers bingo players the opportunity to play bingo every evening, and it regularly runs promotions to give you better value for your money, including free bingo - give them a ring to see when you can grab a chance to play for free.
As you can see from the picture below, Shrewsbury Gala is quite an impressive building. It was originally opened as a Theatre with 1,525 seats, and named the Granada. Stage designer Theodore Komisarjevsky designed the interior, and was noted for his 'flash' decor. Its exterior columns are probably one of the reasons that the building is now listed. Stage shows ceased in 1972, and a year later cinema screenings ceased as well. In 1973 it became Granada Bingo, and in 1991 Gala Bingo.
The club is located in the centre of Shrewsbury, it has a bar, diner, and slot machines if you fancy a little spin while you're waiting for the game to start. There are disabled facilities and there are 25 parking spaces. Please contact us if you can give us more information on this club's background or history.
