Club Background And History
Flat Street Mecca Bingo offers bingo players the opportunity to play bingo everyday, afternoon and evening, and it regularly runs promotions to give you better value for your money.
The Flat Street Mecca venue has always been a source of entertainment in Sheffield. Originally it was the Odeon, which opened in 1956. It is one of the earlier examples of post war cinema architecture, the plainness of the exterior mirroring the austerity of the period. With 2,319 seats is was quite large, although it's interior decor was nothing of note in comparison with many of the large cinemas built and designed prior to the second world war. The cinema closed in 1971, to reopen as a bingo hall owned by Top Rank. At some point after this it became a Mecca Bingo hall.
There's seating for 570, and 40 EBingo terminals. There is one bar, and a cafe. For disabled patrons there are 12 disabled seats, 1 disabled toilet, and disabled access. Please contact us if you can give us more information on this club's background or history.
