Club Background And History
Dartford Gala Bingo is located in the premises of an old cinema and offers bingo players the opportunity to play bingo everyday, and it regularly runs promotions to give you better value for your money, including free bingo - give them a ring to see when you can grab a chance to play for free.
Gala Dartford is situated in the premises of what used to be the 'State Cinema'. Opened in 1935, there were over 1,500 seats, and strangely for the era, the interior was Neoclassical, whereas most cinemas built in the period were Art Deco. The cinema was equipped for full musical accompaniment, including organ chambers under the stage.
The State became Granada when it was purchased in late 1949. The cinema closed in 1975, and was converted to Granada Bingo, and since then Gala have taken over the operation.
The club is located in the centre of Dartford, it has a bar, diner, and slot machines if you fancy a little spin while you're waiting for the game to start. There are disabled facilities and 30 car parking spaces are available. Please contact us if you can give us more information on this club's background or history.
