Club Background And History
Tooting Gala Bingo is located in the premises of an old theatre and offers bingo players the opportunity to play bingo everyday, and it regularly runs promotions to give you better value for your money, including free bingo - give them a ring to see when you can grab a chance to play for free.
As you see from the image below, Gala Tooting is situated in an old theatre. The Granada was opened in 1931, and with over 3,000 seats was one of the larger cinemas in London. The exterior is quite impressive, the four columns still appearing to be in good repair. Not only was the exterior a triumph, a second designer, Theodore Komisarjevsky ensured that the inside was as impressive as the outside. The venue featured stars as big as Sinatra, and later it was open for cinema screenings, although that didn't halt its inevitable closure in 1973. A listed building, it was reopened as Granada Bingo in 1976, and since then has been taken over by Gala Bingo.
The club is located on Tooting's main drag, it has a bar, diner, and slot machines if you fancy a little spin while you're waiting for the game to start.
