Club Background And History
Located within the vicinity of bracing sea air, Hartlepool Carlton is a recently refurbished club that has a licensed bar, buffet, and cash machines available. It's just off the A19, and if you are taking public transport there are buses, including Carlton's own bus service that runs from Easington Village Post Office at 6.40pm and Argos, Peterlee at 6.35pm. Please check these details before traveling though as times may change.
We are pretty sure that the club used to be the Ritz Cinema, which opened in 1937 with seating for 850. It underwent refurbishment in the early seventies, and the cinema was split for dual screenings. We are not sure when the cinema was converted to a bingo hall.
