Club Background And History
Although we don't know much about Top Ten Bingo Gateshead, apart from its session times, we do know a bit about the venue's past.
The venue originally opened as the Imperial Cinema in 1910, and had quite a small seating capacity of 700. In 1929 however, the place was gutted by a fire, but was rebuilt and opened again in 1930. The new cinema also was able to host stage shows and dances. In 1962 the cinema was closed, and converted to a bingo hall. The premises are listed as Grade II.
