Club Background And History
The Playhouse Mecca Bingo offers bingo players the opportunity to play bingo everyday, afternoon and evening, and it regularly runs promotions to give you better value for your money.
The club is purpose built, due to a fire at the original 'Playhouse' in 1995. Mecca have been operating in the venue since 1968, making it one of Britain's older clubs. Prior to Mecca taking over it was a very large theatre with a huge tower above the entrance, which still remains today. Unfortunately, due to the fire, bingo players cannot witness the original interior grandeur of the Playhouse, nor have the opportunity to take a quick twirl on the dance floor.
There's seating for 1600, and 100 EBingo terminals. There is one bar, a cafe, and 150 car parking spaces. For disabled patrons there are 20 disabled seats, 3 disabled toilets, and disabled access. Please contact us if you can give us more information on this club's background or history.

Gone Downhill
Used to be the best club, gone downhill with introduction of electronic bingo, and lousy callers. Staff aren't friendly or fun anymore, in fact some are downright rude. Never thought I would switch to Mecca, but I have, but keep going back to Gala now and again...and regret it.
