Club Background And History
Savoy Gala Bingo offers bingo players the opportunity to play bingo everyday, afternoon and evening, and it regularly runs promotions to give you better value for your money, including free bingo - give them a ring to see when you can grab a chance to play for free.
The building itself has been an entertainment/leisure venue of one kind or another since the thirties. Originally it opened as the Savoy Cinema in 1938, and like many of the era was in the Art deco style, and had a Wurlitzer organ. It didn't get through the war 'scottfree', as it was hit by a bomb, twice, although that didn't stop it reopening. The Savoy closed in 1962 and a bowling alley was built inside, although it didn't last long before bingo too over.
The club is located in the Radford area of Coventry, it has a bar, diner, and slot machines if you fancy a little spin while you're waiting for the game to start. There are disabled facilities and there are 200 parking spaces. Please contact us if you can give us more information on this club's background or history.
