Club Background And History
Clacton Gala Bingo is located in the premises of an old theatre and offers bingo players the opportunity to play bingo everyday, afternoon and evening, and it regularly runs promotions to give you better value for your money, including free bingo - give them a ring to see when you can grab a chance to play for free.
If you are interested in history then Clacton Gala is quite an intersting building, as it has been around for quite a while. It was opened in 1936 during the second major phase of cinema construction accross Britain. Quite a large cinema, it was decorated in the Art Deco style, and like many others had its own ballroom. It was taken over and renamed by Essoldo in 1946, and then in 1967 taken over by Classic Cinemas who split the building for bingo and cinema. The cinema side of the operation is still going, and is the only cinema that Gala itself operates, despite many of their clubs being located in old cinemas.
The club is located near Clacton's seafront, it has a bar, diner, and slot machines if you fancy a little spin while you're waiting for the game to start. There are disabled facilities and 25 car parking spaces are available. Please contact us if you can give us more information on this club's background or history.
