Club Background And History

Ace Bingo has been a bingo club since the sixties, operating as the Legalite Bingo Club, which was taken over by Mecca Bingo prior to the current Ace ownership. The club is located in what was the Essoldo cinema between 1947 and 1964. Originally though, it was the Ritz Theatre which opened in 1937 with seating for 919 patrons. We are not sure if the building's original interior features, remain, so if you do pay the club a visit, please let us know if the conversion took much of a toll on the interior decor.
