I have never actually worked in the Bingo industry. But I have played bingo at a number of different places. I was just wondering for anyone that has worked at a bingo hall how do you deal with the rude people? The reason I ask this is because I have seen some really rude people at bingos over the years.
When a customer is rude to me, I used to take the approach of being ultra-polite and helpful, to try and guilt trip them! I won quite a few over by doing this.
The club I work in now has some really rude punters though. The worst are the ones who don't shout loudly enough and have their claim missed. Oh, and the ones that go spare if the prize money is lower than usual - even if they didn't even win it!
It's gotten to a point that there's rudeness in virtually every sport or game around. Sportsmanship seems to have gone smack out the window anymore. What ever happened to 'good game' and a hand shake!
I am so with you one the cell phones ringing. I just find that so rude. Why can you not put it on vibrate? But I would agree with you it seems like there are rude people in every sport but more so when it comes to one where you are trying to win money.
Had a right stroppy customer tonight who thought they'd won on a cashline game.
So I checked and found the board was not in play.
"I'm not stupid, I'm not happy" was the response...
The customer is demented, confused, stupid, angry....but always right.
