LOL - that sounds like something out of a Little Britain sketch mupet! Come on, name and shame the hall! Dreadful behaviour from a customer concerned business.

Yes, I agree that this should go in the hall of shame. Won't get many people to play with that kind of attutude.

Hunkston, you reminded me of something that happened to us when we were in the US visiting relatives a few years ago. One of our relatives lived in a little desert community where one of the favorite/only things to do was go to bingo night at the cinema. They would play a couple of games and then show the film. I was fortunate to win the big prize which was about twenty five dollars. They had me come on stage to receive it, and the whole way down the aisle people were calling me really rude names and one tried to trip me! They didn't like that some stranger had won! Needless to say, we didn't stay for the film, we got out as fast as we could.

I have dealt with rude people and I try my best to calm them down and tell them hey maybe next game they will win.

I had thought about this question over the week and I must say that I do usually say something smart or sarcastically funny and then tell them that they probably win next time.

There no excuse at all for rudeness. It's only a game after all. On the few occassions that I've witnessed it the rude people have been sort of shunned by the rest.

Kind of a customer service deal right? You'll never find a 100% nice people out there when working with the public.

I think in this case they should just be dealt with immediately so to not disturb the rest of the players.

As a person who isn't a caller, I'd like to see those removed, but I'm not sure what you can or can't do in this case.

I think that is terrible that they booed you and tried to trip you. That is just ridiculous. I think that is a neat idea though to combine bingo and a movie. I have never heard that before.

I think that in every aspect of life we are too tolerant of rude and loutish behaviour. People are afraid to get involved and people get away with behaviour that would never have been tolerated years ago. I think Bingo halls need strong rules so that they can deal with nuisance members, seeing someone removed or have their membership suspended would make others think twice, and the well behaved majority would be pleased to have a more pleasant atmosphere.
