Default Faking It As A Bingo Caller

This is well worth a read - a Scottish journalist entered the Scottish leg of the competition, despite having never even played Bingo before, let alone called the numbers. After a little bit of tuition, he managed to come forth!

Aw, superb! It can't really be all that hard though, can it? as long as you sound enthusiastic, I think most people could pull it off.

Let's put it this way - it's not rocket science. If you can handle banter then it's fairly easy. I used to tune out so much calling the numbers I was actually singing my favourite songs of the time to myself in my head - the numbers just flowed fine.

I didn't have any special training, they started me on the party bingo and then threw me on the stage - it was no sweat.

I guess it's just finding a nice mix between professional and fun, I suppose?

Yes, I would have to think that you would have to have some personality just to bring some fun to it. I have never tried it though.

How hard can it be, really? I would think it would be one of the easiest jobs out there. Probably doesn't pay much, though....

I don't know anyone personally who does it as their job. I do know a few that volenteer to call at some of the local bingo places though.

I do agree with you, there. I am pretty sure they are volunteers. They must love their jobs!
