Bingo Advert

Have you seen that advert for online bingo where a man dresses up as a woman just to go downstairs to his computer and play bingo. I know it is meant to be funny, but don't you find it just a little bit insulting. Why can't men play bingo?

I haven't seen it yet. I will have to see if I can find it. I think that it is just that more women seem to play the game. I know personally I know more women that play then men.

I haven't seen it, but I see your point. Women make up the majority of players at my local hall, but by no means all of them.

That's a very interesting blog post Dio. I hadnt realised that the advertising was quite so one sided.

Just because market research points to a certain type of person, you shouldn't actively exclude others. That just doesn't make good business sense.

Dio, that was an excellent blog post. Who are these women that the advertisers are aiming their message at? The advertising has completely alienated me, and I can't be the only one!

Thanks for sharing this ad. After seeing it I see what you mean. I am surprised that they would direct it at one certain type of player.

As far as I knew men were just as equally allowed to play bingo as women. Certainly every time I go to Mecca Bingo I go with my husband and there are always lots of other men there so I don't see what the problem is. Unless it is only in some Countries that men are not supposed to play bingo. Here in the UK I did not think we had a problem with it. I am all for men and women being equal I mean I even let my daughter play with so called boys toys like trucks, cars and skateboards. I do not see the harm. If a boy wants to play with a doll then what is the problem? It really annoys me at our Church that women are not allowed to teach the men.

I don't know what is the problem of the branding. It's like Armany Exchange is branded for gay men here in my country. I think Bing is for everybody. I know mostly are old people but still everyone can play it.
