Do you think that playing online is a good thing; it removes the social interaction which is a big part of the enjoyment for most people. Are people more likely to get addicted or to spend more money by playing online?

There's plenty of social interaction on line, on most sites you can barely get a word in edgeways in the chatrooms. I think it offers a good evenings entertainment when maybe you don't want to go out. There will always be people who spend to much, give too much time to bingo sites, but to be fair, the same could be said about Amazon on Tesco online.
I can see how gambling can easily become an addiction. I think I am actually lucky sometimes that online gambling is not allowed here in the United States.
I find the winning aspect far more important when I'm playing online. I don't particularly enjoy the online socialising aspect that Dio mentions, but find myself playing games over and over if I'm not a winner. So yes, I think it's far easier to get addicted to online Bingo than 'real' Bingo.
I think that it is easier to spend money online playing bingo but like any thing else I think if you have a certain amount to play with and then stop you'll be alright. That can be a problem for some people to do though.
You definately must put a limit on what you are willing to spend. Those of us that can do this our successful in the fact that we are not gambling addicts.
That's a good analogy. I am one of those people that likes to read ebooks but my husband thinks I am weird. I really though when it comes to playing bingo like both the online and the local games.
