Chat Magazine Bingo Complaint

I was sent this complaint by an unhappy player at Chat Magazine's Bingo site. Chat Mag Bingo is a Gamesys / Jackpot Joy site, and this player was caught out by the deposit bonus withdrawal rules, as many players are. Here's her compliant.

I registered with chat online bingo as it was my fave magazine. As usual it was £10 deposit and they gave a £10 bonus. I won £100. When I tried to withdraw the money they wouldn't allow it, the rules are you have to wager 4 times that amount before you can get any back. I was gutted...I have to pay it all back. I should have read the small print but as its chat magazine I trusted them. Their magazine is full of con stories. Maybe mine should be one of them.

I really wish sites wouldn't use such tactics with their deposit bonuses. It doesn't do them any favours for their players. If this person had been able to withdraw the winnings straight out she probably would have carried on playing with them. It's not like the prize money would have cost the site anything, the prize money is covered by the players. I really can't fathom why this practice is acceptable.

I've read about the CHAT magazine bingo site and was going to join, but after reading this review I joined elsewhere I did check their site, however, and found that it is not 4 times the amount, it is 8 times the amount before you can withdaw any winnings! Check out their terms & conditions;

4.5 Members are required to wager eight times the total amount deposited (member deposit [capped at the maximum potential promotional bonus amount] plus promotional bonus) before it will be possible to make a withdrawal.

So if I join with £20, I have to bet at least £160 before I can withdraw any winnings at all - what a rip off....

Hi Kermit, I'm not sure that's the case - I think the 8x wagering is referring to withdrawing any of the bonus winnings you have, not just normal winnings on deposited cash. I could be wrong though, and if that is the case then it's pretty shocking. Minimum withdrawal should always match minimum deposit IMO.

It's just for if you win straight away using your initial sign up bonus.
Also you can just wait 14 days for any unused sign up bonus to expire then you should be OK .

I haven't had any problems with this site it's very good

I play at gigglebingo an have done for 3months, on sunday i made a long complaint TO the manager(or so the emil said he was)they said they would put 50.00 cash into my account and how he hope i was happy with the out come, i then choose to take some out an play the rest, but whil playin i won more an so i took out more, they then emailed me the next day saying they had approved my withdrawal so all was good they said it would take 42-72 hours to reach my bank like normall. then later i noticed i had 50.00 bbz an 5.00 cash for it was for the team games the week befor, but then the next day when mt money wasnt n my bank i contacted support, to be told they gave me 50 by mistake it wasnt mine(even no the email said it was)an thats what the bbz were for so they stopped my withdrawal an put bbz back then said quote The good news is from the Team Games promotion this week you won £20bbz, so that means there is now only £30bbz left to pay back in future promotions that you play with us. I know with the promotions that we have coming up in May you will have that £30bbz won in no time at all. but they said the money was mine an they emailed sayin it, but now there sayin the cash wasnt mine the winnings wasnt mine and they lent me 50bbz an i gotta pay them back.uts a joke do not use the site your get robbed. they send emails sayin its yours then take it back and theres noting you can do , an it also means any bbz i earn there gonna take. and theres nothing i can do about it!!
