Default Virgin non payment

We have been playing Bingo on the Virgin site for about a year. Last night my partner won the jackpot using her bonus money but on trying to claim was told she had to deposit the same amount as she had won before she could withdraw it. Today she tried to withdraw just £10 but was told she would lose her bonus which includes the jackpot of over £500. Is there anything she can do to be able to withdraw it. One further point, should not it be made clear that anything won using the bonus money cannot be withdrawn?

Did you see this thread? Andy had the same problem at Virgin Bingo - he had to put some more of his own money in, but he got it out in the end. It's worth calling customer services to discuss it.

It's really disappointing to see Bingo companies pull these can of regulations on regular depositors at their sites. If you won it on the bonus money you got from depositing, it should be yours to withdraw as you see fit.

Good luck getting the money out Symarb.

I think it's dreadful that these online Bingo businesses try these tricks. It's just underhand. Although I'm sure it's written in the T&Cs somewhere, they don't make it obvious.

It really seems like this happens to a lot of people. I really wish if that they would post their rules for withdrawal more clearly and not in this very fine print buried in a bunch of mumbo jumbo.

I think that you'd find the information is there if you looked for it. Like everything, it's up to the consumer (player in this instance) to familiarise themselves with the small print before committing.

That doesn't make it right of course, but it covers their backsides.

I think this just proves the case for not playing online bingo. At least when you actually go in person they don't try any of these stunts. I think it is awful that Virgin have done this to you. I mean as if they haven't already got loads of money. I am sure they can afford to pay out £100. £100 is probably near enough nothing compared with the money Virgin have. They have so many money making schemes out there so why not be able to pay a valued customer. Well all I can say is that in the long term they will lose customers because a company that has no customer service will not get customers to come back.

This is a site I will stay away from. Is their somewhere you can turn the company into for doing this to their paying customers?
