Default So Annoyed!!

Hey everyone im Andy..just joined this forum..hope you are all well..

Basically i just want to have a little rant at something that just happened.

Yesterday evening i was on Virgin Bingo (online) playing with £6 pound and a bit of my own money and there was about £2 of bonus money that i hadn't used up. So i played a game called the Snowball jackpot, which guaranteed £500 if you called in less than 50 numbers. So heres me playing the game, but also on mysace at the same time and not really checking, only to open the window and find that i only needed one number for the full house and i was on 38 calls.

So i sat there, and my number came out and my complete on screen balance rose to £530. Well as you know i think anyone would be made up.

It wasn't only when i went to withdraw a portion of the amount to my bank that i found the £500 had gone in as my bonus balance, and i now had a cash balance of £30. After emailing them about this, i was told that i would have to spend a further £154 of my own money from my bank in order to meet the "wagering handle" of 201 (mine was 46) in order to get access to the bonus money of £500.

I think this is really misleading. I was contemplating contacting them this morning but i think i will just take the £30 and run. Even in the description about the Snowball jackpot on their "Timetable of games" page, it says that you must have deposited some of your own money in order to be eligable for the progressive jackpot (which i had done).

And now i'm on their site trying to withdraw my money and its just crashed.

Rant Over

Wow, it seems that the vast majority of these sites will get you in that way. Did you ever get the 30 out?

I have to say I don't understand that - if you've deposited, there should be no quibble over pay out in my opinion. That's a bit of a bad showing from Virgin Bingo, especially if you had cash in the account.

The ones I have always played on it was only that you had to atleast deposit something to your account. But I have heard of quite a few places doing this now. I hope you get your 30.00 back.

Hey all

Just as an update. I phoned their customer service line and was told that i would have to deposit £154 in order to meet my 201 wagering handle; which i did. I spent all last night wasting it (won £25 on the way), then phoned them again as i had met the wagering handle and got my bonus 500 (which had no gone up to 540 to include the 25 i won and some other money). So although its been a bit stressful and i have had to fork out some of my own money, i got there in the end...phew!

I am glad that you got you winnings but man to have to deposit that amount to get them to me is beyond ridiculous.

So, Andy, do you think it was worth all the stress and bother? I admire your patience. Will you be playing with Virgin again?

Blimey Andy, I think you're a brave bloke. I'm not sure I'd have trusted them enough to let them have that much of my money in order to get the 500. They'd hardly made themselves look trustworthy in their clarity of T&Cs.

But glad you got your cash in the end, & cheers for flagging up the issue. I'll steer clear of that game in future.
