a player used the word nigger and i complained. later that night i had a joke with another player when reffering to someones photo(not hers) i said its amazing what a sewing machine and a pair of curtains can do. The player then said i was hurting peoples feelings to which i apologised and explained that i was only joking. This is all down to my complaint of racial slurs. I have made other complaints too, about the way the players gang up on people and how the cms join in with them. I am thinking of going to the commission for racial equality as i did explain in my complaint that my son is mixed race and thats why it hurt me so much. The words used were "Im burning up like a nigger". when i complained the other players ganged up saying i shouldnt have called the player who said it pondlife, the cm pretended that she hadnt seen the word and went on the other players side. This is illegal it is going against the racial discrimination act. Can u help?

Hi Angie, sorry to hear about your issues - I think you were more than right to complain about the use of the word by another player, and I would expect any decent CM worth their salt to step up and sort it out there and then. To be honest though, I doubt there's much can be done about it. As the site is licensed and based in Cyprus, they have no jurisdiction over it.

It seems most of the complaints we get in this forum are for sites from this network - it's high time the people behind Cozy Bingo got their act together. Frankly this sort of behaviour is unacceptable. You can ask them for a transcript of the chat room when the event happened, then you can take it to the Racial Equality people and see what they can do about it, but as I say, I doubt there's much.

Thgank you for your reply, I have an appointment with commission for racial equality on Friday, and will now be taking legal action. Thanx angx. The other thing is that i will be contacting the gaming commission as i feel that the cms are also involved in playing on the site.and people known by the cms.

Let us know what they - will be interesting to know what sort of action they can take. The one thing that might be worth pointing out, if it can be confirmed, is whether or not the CMs are based in the UK. My guess would be they are, then they should fall under the remit of the Racial Equality people.
