Default Foxy Bingo paid out to closed account

    Hi everyone.
I dont know if anyone has any advice for me but here goes
I won £675 on Foxy, I had an old card on there from a closed bank account. I emailed them and got them to remove the card from my foxy account. I once I had seen that this had been removed I put in for a withdrawal of funds. Foxy ended up sending the money to this closed account. I contacted my old bank to let them know and was told by them that as the account was closed any funds attempting to be credited to it would automatically "bounce back" to the originators account. I told foxy this and they said that as they had paid out then I would need proof that I had not received the money. I sent foxy a copy of the letter from the bank saying that the account was closed last Nov. But that wasnt good enough, they then wanted the bank to write to them saying that they had sent the funds back. I explained that as my account was closed the bank could not do anything for me as I was no longer a customer. Foxy sent me proof that they sent the funds to my closed bank account and wont even look to see if they have had the funds back ! I am still waiting for someone to get back to me but I dont think they will.
Has anyone got any ideas please X

Hi CurlyK, sounds like a bit of a nightmare - funnily enough, I've had Cheeky Bingo problems with them repaying winnings to a card I no longer have on the system and not the bank details they have in the system. Cheeky is run by the people who run Foxy, so it would seem this is a bit of a problem with their payment provider, Brigend. I'm not really sure what to suggest - if the bank bounced the money, then technically it should come back to your account anyway. How long ago did this happen? A bounce can take anywhere from a week to go through the banking.

My old bank (co-op) bounced the money back to Foxy. It was about 2 weeks ago now they sent it back to them, I would have thought that they would have it by now. Foxy wont check and their help desk are awful no customer service what so ever. I am stuck because I cant get co-op to check and foxy wont.
