Default What Makes A Good Affiliate Scheme?

    Hi,

I am an affiliate manager at BrightShare Affiliate Network, and we have just added bingo to our affiliates. I'm wondering what the best way is to find good affiliates? I'm all ears for suggestions of what people think makes a good affiliate program, and what would be important to include.

    Thanks
    Shelley

Hi Shelley, I've started this off as a thread in its own right rather than piggy back a new one, I think you questions are worth a thread of their own!

As for me, what makes a good affiliate scheme. Well, the first part is the quality of the offering. If a site has a good bonus, great terms and conditions and is actually fun to play at, I find it easy to promote. Personally I like a rev share deal best, and I like to get on with it without lots of emails and requests from the affiliate manager. I don't like links that expire and deals that change. That's me, but I know every other affiliate has different priorities depending on their own business model.

Default what makes a good affiliate scheme

    Hi Dio,

Thanks for getting back to me, and I appreciate the input. BrightShare has been around a long time, I personally believe that the most important aspects are service, reliability, honesty, and of course making money for the affiliate and paying on time. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to promote here, but maybe we could discuss the possibility of working together, I'd love to have you as an affiliate :-)

Well you could try surfing for traffic. Adverts in papers and online. Customer service and friendliness is very important for helping customers return to your website. Also look at improving your search engine listing. You could also write a blog as these attract traffic.

Something which is easy to understand is important, and I'd prefer something that doesn't keep changing the deal.

Just as another thought I wouldn't join an affiliate program that charges to join it. I think that those who charge are wrong and in a lot of cases scams.

Not necessarily a scam Mickie31, but there is no reason to join a afiiliate program that charges money to join it when they are some great affilate programs like ladbrokes who offers a great system for free!

    Smile

I personally feel there is quite a few factors.

    * How often they update their offers
    * If they have a land line number I can call (Im not a email person)
    * Weather its easy to understand their back end system.
    * Do they pay? How often they pay? And how do they pay the money. (Cheque, BACS, Paypal)

These are my personal factors. Hope this helps.
