Default do you go 'overbudget' when you play online?

I don't play online as much as I do 'live', mainly because I don't seem to have the same self control on-line. Normally I'm pretty good at setting myself a Bingo budget for the evening & stopping once I'm through, but on-line I seem to have trouble sticking to it. Perhaps it's because I haven't got other people around to distract me when I ought to stop. Does anyone else find the same thing?

I honestly can say that I am usually pretty good about staying on a budget when it comes to playing bingo. I live paycheck to paycheck the majority of the time so really don't have much choice but to do so.

I usually set myself an amount that I'm going to play with and don't usually go over that amount. I tend to try to out my card away once I've deposited, so that I'm not tempted to spend more!

I will spend some of the winnings if I win but I always try to leave with something. But again I have a certain amount to play with and then I am done.

I find it hard to budget for anything I do online especially bingo and stuff like that, but shopping is my online weakness. If there is money in my bank I am so tempted to spend it to buy things online. Do you think they have self help groups for that?

Well, since they say that we can't actually play for money here in the states, I don't even bother with it. But if I did, I am good at staying within my budget.

I have become much better at being strict with myself about what I spend on online games. In the past I have been shocked at how quickly and easily I can spend online. I think adding it up and realising that I could have spent it on something I really needed made me much more self disciplined.

I think equating your play money to a real object that you could buy instead is probably a very good way of sticking to a limit JOT. This would work better for someone like me who isn't particularly attracted by the possibility of winning more angle though.

It is shocking how fast and easy you can spend money online. I hear you about the shopping being easy. I tend to spend more online shopping then if I actually went to the store and bought what I needed. I have no idea why that is?

I think you are right, I spend more online too. Partly it is because I try to make my order big enough to get free shipping, but sites like Amazon have so many tempting offers that I end up spending more than I intended.
