What I mean was, in mentioning Brad Pitt, was an actor with a very nice body.
David Schwimmer is a good actor, but he reminds me of all my Los Angeles cousins standing around after Temple. Nice guys and all, but....

I looked Brad Pitt up on the internet, but his looks don't do anything for me, I prefer David Schwimmer in terms of looks. I guess there is a lot of truth in the saying 'Beauty is in the eye of the beholder'.

Which character did you fall in love with, Ninikins? Are we talking the original, the Next Generation, Deep Space Nine, or I can't think of the name, the one with the lady Captain?
Speaking of which, we were at a little party a couple of weeks ago. The host is a nice guy, but he is sort of puffed up, full of himself guy. Somehow we got on the subject of babies, and one of his daughters announced to the whole room, "Did you know if I'd been a boy my name would have been John Luke after that old guy on Star Trek?" I've never seen anyone blush as red as the host...sort of lost his dignity there!

That's funny, but there are plenty of worse names. I was six when my brother was born and I pestered my parents to call him Willy after a puppet called Willy Wombat in a children's TV program Tinga and Tucker. Fortunately for my brother my choice was rejected.

It's funny about names; I think Willy Wombat would make a great name for a little boy.
My first pregnancy, I knew if I had a boy I would name him Joshua, as that had been my fave boy's name for years. When I told my granny she nearly had a fit! She said Joshua was a very old-fashioned name and he would get teased really badly. We named Joshua over my granny's strong objection. Several years later it seemed that every boy was named Joshua! That's one of the only times my granny was wrong...

We had the same response when we named our first daughter Emily. My husband's grandmother was appalled because she thought we had chosen a really old fashioned name. To her it was as bad as calling her Ethel!

Oh, my God, anyone who would name a little girl Ethel has to be round the twist! Sorry, the name Ethel has to be my least fave name of all time. (Sorry, all the Ethels out there).
Emily is a beautiful name; it's fairly common here as well.

Yes I agree Molly, but they were both popular names in England around 1890/1900 so that is why my husbands grandmother thought Emily was a very old fashioned name.

My grandmother was called Ethel, she was the last girl in a big family and she got the worse name. Apparently the next door neighbour said that if my great grandmother called her Ethel the neighbour would buy her a present for her birthday every year.

I asked my mum if she could remember my first crush Apparently when I was about 4 I was very keen on Ringo Starr, I don't remember much about that. She also recalled my David Cassidy phase and my Bay City Rollers phase, I liked Woody best. My daughter had been listening to our conversation and she commented, 'so that means mum has always had a weird taste in men'. Children can be so brutally honest sometimes!
