Default Got asked for ID

For the first time EVER, I was asked for ID the other night when I went to Bingo. I admit that I look a bit of a state at the moment with a huge blood encrusted blue lump on my forehead, but it caught me by surprise. I don't know what the bouncers thought they were looking for ...

Green, they probably thought you looked the tender young thing (lump on the forehead or not) and they wanted to make sure you are old enough to gain entry into a dodgy gambling den...!

I have been asked to show my ID but only when I have won and that was only once. I thought that was a little backwards in that you would think that they would ask when you go in and not wait until you have won.

I've never been asked for my ID at bingo. The last time I was "carded" was a few years ago buying liquor and I thanked the clerk profusely!

Hey you should look at it as a compliment. I am 31 and people say I look about 25 or 26. I used to get asked for ID all the time when I was younger, now I take it as a compliment and hope I look just as young when I get older.

My daughter is 19 and age still gets asked for ID when buying 15 certificate DVD's. It makes her so mad that her sister who is only just 17 never seems to be asked for ID and easier passes for older than she is!

Your 19-year-old will be giving your 17-year-old the business soon enough about looking younger. At least with me and my mates, especially as babies came along, we were always on each other about our ages (like alot of old queens, my hubby says). We find the most insulting birthdays cards we can for each other, even now.

I just wish that people did ask for ID around here more in general. I see so many young people waltzing out with beer and such and never getting carded. I have always said it is better to be safe then sorry.

You're right, Tater. They need to take more notice of alot of things. There is an old wino here that hangs round the shop and he'll buy beer, liquor, or cigarettes for any kid that asks him, as long as he gets a taste. The cops and the shop workers have to know what they're doing.

Tender young thing I may be, but I certainly don't look it Molly! I should be honoured, but I can't help feel that the lump on the head contributed to it and therefore think that it makes me look in some way dodgy.
