Default Really Difficult Question...

If your mate said, "Either it's me or bingo", which would you choose? Think carefully, now!

What sort of mate would make that kind of ultimatum? I would never put bingo before my friends or my family, but if someone was trying to give me an ultimatum I would probably decide he/she was not much of a friend and I would make my decisions accordingly. Bingo is just a bit of fun, I think the day I start putting it before friends and family would be the day I should give up bingo!

If my mate was making me choose on a one off occassion then I'd go with the mate. If it was forever, then I'd think they were being a little unreasonable in trying to dictate what I do with my time and hence choose the Bingo.

But Green, what if you yelled, "Stockpot!" at him , do you think he'd relent?
(Sorry, Green, but I'm still laughing about your chickens!)

That's not to difficult for me. I would give up the bingo in a heartbeat. My husband gives me to much joy in my life. I don't foresee this ever happening though.

if it's a friend - it's none of his/her business if I play or not
if it's husband or wife it means you play to much and should reconsider

I agree with you that if its a friend that they have no right to ask you to quit unless there is an actual addiction then I could see why they would ask.

Perfectly normal day in the Moo household Molly

When I answered originally I presumed you meant mate as in a friend rather than mate as in partner. I don't think it would change my answer much though. No-one gets to dictate to me how I spend my time.

I'd be willing to listen, but my partner would have to come up with a very good reason to make me give up Bingo (or anything else!).

I agree Green-Moo, my husband and my family are more important to me than anything else, but I would not expect my huband to tell me what I could or could not do. Actually, my husband encourages me to go out if I want to, and I am very happy for him to go out as long as I don't have to go with him - he likes train spotting!

I wouldn't expect a friend or my husband to tell me to stop playing bingo. My husband enjoys playing bingo with me anyway and I know he wouldn't expect me to stop playing. However if it came down to it my husband would win every time because I love him much more than bingo.
