People do say some silly things. I lived in Plymouth for a few years and I used to enjoy walking in the Barbican area and looking at all the old buildings. Lots of American tourists go there to see where the Pilgrim Fathers sailed from. Most of the tourists are friendly and they like to stop and ask questions about the city. I can never understand why so many of them assume that our Plymouth is named after their Plymouth and not the other way around!
