Default Bingo Probability

Have you ever studied the probabilities of winning bingo? Studying probability can open your eyes and make you realise how difficult it actually is to win bingo. Then hopefully you won't be as tempted to spend all your money thinking it is easy to win when it isn't. Bingo is worth spending some time to analyze and you can learn different probability theories.

I have never studied the probability of winning at bingo. I do scan how many people I am playing against and determine my odds by the amount of people.

I honestly don't want to know the probabilities of winning. I only spend a certain amount trying to win. I don't want to ruin the fun by knowing the statistics that I have of winning.

I figure that Bingo halls are there to make a profit, so enough must people must lose for them to be able to do so. that's a sobering thought!

I agree with Tater. Trying (in my case, failing) to compute probabilities and percentages and all those mathematical mumbo jumbos would only spoil the fun for me. I am very conservative in the money I put down, and never, never spend any more. Therefore, to me, bingo is fun and nothing but fun!

Here in the states I really think that the bingo halls make the majority of their money on those pull tabs. I have seen people drop quite a bit of money on these and I think that the bingo hall makes money off of selling them.

I think calculating the probabilities would take away the fun. I can't think of anything less fun to work out, other than the balancing of my budget!

I think we all posted awhile back about large-scale winning fantasies while playing bingo; that's one of my favorite things about playing. You can imagine all kinds of wonderfulness when the numbers seem to be going your way. Bingo is called by someone else; no worries. The fantasies can start up again with a new game!

I am not too concerned about probabilities, what matters more to me is feeling that everything is open and above board and that there is a basic fairness. I know I am not likely to have a big win, but I enjoy Bingo it is fun, the people are friendly, and I don't spend too much. Online Bingo makes me feel as if I am being ripped off, so I don't bother with it

same here, fairness is the most important factor when playing this game anywhere.
