I know I'm avoiding at least three major chores while I sit here posting on my fave site. I'll confess to sweeping the kitchen floor and...well, how about you?

It is so hot and humid here today that I have basically put off just about all of my cleaning for the day. I am going to regret it tomorrow though.

There are so many outstanding jobs that this could turn into a list! The back garden really has to be tamed, and the kitchen floor needs washing urgently.

I am not well so I am having a break today. I probably should be doing the washing and putting clothes away. It is so hot here and I have prickly heat as well as another viral infection so my husband has told me to take it easier today. So I am just chilling on the computer talking to you.

Sorry to all my friends suffering through hot, humid weather! That is my absolute least favourite kind of weather...I hope the weather gods take pity on you and send you a better day tomorrow.

I arrived home from holiday yesterday and I was appalled to find that the house was a real mess. My daughters 19 and 17 had really let me down. After about 4 hours hard work I felt comfortable enough to sit down! I think the girls will be forgiven - eventually!

My kids had the responsibility of straightening up the house when my husband and I both worked. I know how disappointing and angry it feels to come home to such a mess. Our solution, we turned right around and went out to dinner and came back, said hi and turned on the telly. We only had to do that a couple of times and it never happened again. (It seemed our son always learned better if food/no food was involved...)

I am putting off EVERYTHING! The day started off well, but we met friend at the market who invited us round for an impromptu lunch and we never relly got going again.

My whole house is screaming for a vacuum in the worst way! Dusting and vacuuming are nearly my least favorite chore and I'll go to any lengths to avoid it.

Molly that made me laugh! Next time I have to go away I am going to bring out my secret weapon - Grandma! The children love her and she has never been strict grandparent, but she if she tells you she is disappointed it makes you feel dreadful.
