I can't put it off any longer, tomorrow I have to go and move my daughter out of her university flat and the following day I have to help her move into her new house. How can one student possibly need that much stuff?!

They accumulate quite a lot, don't they? People just seem to be pack rats or not, but at that student time of life it's like they've done so much shopping, you wonder where they had time to study?!

This was her first year at university and she has been living in a university flat, so we had to remove all her belongings at Christmas and Easter and I have got used to having boxes everywhere. Thankfully she and a couple of friends are now renting a house, so I will not have to help her move stuff again for at least two years. The problem is that her sister will be starting university next year so I will still have to transport belongings to and from university!

Yes, hope everything has resolved itself.
The boxes, though! It seems as if I am forever trying to
get boxes out of my living room, so I can definitely sympathise with you!

I wish I could do the chores round the house. I feel so depressed at the moment. I have just been concentrating on writing my blog and other writing, but I feel like I want to get up and tidy the house. My husband is great, bless him. But, excuse me for any offense men are not the same at tidying the house as women.

I had an arthroscopy on Tuesday which means they put a camera in my knee and cleaned and repaired the cartilage because I have a torn cartilage. Then tonight my husband went out on his skate board for half an hour, my daughter woke up crying so I tried to get to her. On the way I fell and bruised my big toe and made it bleed and also fell on my bad knee. I did actually make it up the stairs to my daughter.

So yes I'm just having a moan because for once in my life I actually want to be able to tidy the house.

Mickie, I hope your knee gets better soon. I know how frustrating it can be to have to rely on other people to do tasks that you want to do yourself. However willing they are they don't do things exactly how you want them.

Molly and Ninikins, thanks for asking, the move went well. It was a bit chaotic but we managed to get my daughter moved out of her university flat and into her new house without too many problems.

Mickie I hope to hear you are healing well here soon. I so hate days that seem crappy from start to finish.

Justontime I am glad you got all the moving done for awhile at least anyway. I hate when you have to move or move someone else.

I had arthroscopy on my knee a little over a year ago, and I know how painful and debilitating they can be. You really need to be careful with it and keep up with the anti -imflammatories or whatever the doctor prescribed. Watch yourself on those stairs, especially. They can really mess you up.
