We bought one of those all in one remotes which are nice until you lose it. lol. It is funny though how you get so used to having a remote.

We, too, have a dizzying plethora of media gadjets. I learned the telly, and I half-way learned the DVD thingie, and that leaves the tape player (I know, I know, but you can't believe how many tapes we have!) The CD to DVD, and a few that I don't know what they do,and even, hold on to your hat, a few dusty remotes I've caught under the sofa. Are these from machines we don't even have anymore? That pained expression from hubby tells me I've stumbled onto the truth...

My stereo has a remote control, but as it can't change a CD it seems a fairly pointless gadget to me.

Although, when my son first learnt how the stereo worked *sigh* I had great fun with the remote before I let on that we had one.

We have a friend whose little girl has been able to take the batteries out of the remotes since she was just a baby. She hides them here and there around the flat. When I'm talking to her mum I can hear her daddy talking to the little girl, asking if she'll give him a hint where the batteries are.

Lol that's funny. A little bit of mischief she sounds a bit like my daughter. Lauretta my daughter is usually hiding things away from us. One day we found lots of things such as, batteries, pencils and crayons posted down the side of the radiator. So Lauretta had been finding things and putting them in the side of the radiator away from us, lol!

We used to tease my Mum with the remote control device for the car. We had a car with flip up headlights and could operate them from her kitchen

When my daughter was little she 'fed' the video player a slice of bread and jam because it looked hungry! Now she is 19 she is doesn't cause too many problems with gadgets, but when the phone rings I can never find it. We have two handsets and you can almost guarantee that she will have one in her room somewhere and her younger sister will have stashed the other somewhere in her room. Sometimes I wish we could go back to the old days when the handset stayed firmly attached to the phone!

What mischievous little angels they are! I know that there are precious memories I have of my kids playing up that at the time I didn't think were all that funny (bread and jam in the VCR; that sounds familiar!)

That's funny because we did that with our stereo we got not to long ago. It came with a remote and the boys didn't know it. Oh, what fun that was. I think they were really starting to think the house was haunted. We finally ended up telling them.

Yes this is a very normal behavior. Specially when that small device disappears and everybody starts arguing and fighting to know who actually has it. And normally somebody is hiding it to keep on watching a show.
