Default Your best advice

Pretend that you are coming out of a very $profitable bingo game and you meet a person who is coming into a Bingo Hall for the first time. What is the best advice you could give that person?

To not play more cards than they can keep up with. That is no fun and way to stressful trying to keep up.

To enjoy it and to think of it as a fun evening out, if they win it will be a bonus and if they don't they will have had a good time anyway.

Start small with just one card, and look at it as a bit of fun. that way, you won't get confused and you won't care if you don't win.

Great advice all way round. I think limiting the amount of cards to start with is the key to enjoyable newbie bingo-ing. It's kind of funny but also kind of sad to see obviously new folk trying to arrange their cards and daub all their numbers.
The advice about enjoying the game was also good. If I was giving advice to a newbie, I would say that going to the Bingo to try to win money is on a fool's errand.

I think it is nice if more experienced players take an interest in newcomers, a welcoming smile and a few basic tips make the world of difference to a newcomer.

I *still* can't juggle huge numbers of cards, and I've been playing for ages!

Hmm, there's an idea for a thread there!

Another thing is to keep your drinks away from your cards. Cannot tell you how many times I have spilt my drinks on my cards. This is a lesson I really need to learn myself.

That is a good one to not go thinking that you will win and to just enjoy yourself. Very good tip.
