Default Is Bingo a Guilty Pleasure?

One television advert describes bingo as a guilty pleasure. Is that how you think of bingo? Do you have any other guilty pleasures? I guess enjoying a bacon sandwich is one of my guilty pleasures, I am trying to follow a healthy diet, but bacon sandwiches are so tempting!

Well, sometimes bingo is a guilty pleasure, when I haven't quite gotten to a red bill or two yet, but it's been a really frustrating week. I"ll take myself off for a night of bingo and I feel much better. My other guilty pleasures are chocolate, LOADS of it, and, I'm sharing this for the first time, , Broadway sound tracks. Right now I am hooked on the Rent soundtrack...All right, you've winkled it out of me...If it's been a really really frustrating week, I'll indulge in my guilty pleasures all in one day...
There. I feel better now.

I think that it is a guilty pleasure in some respects. Like when I spend money to go to bingo that I really don't have.

It's only a guilty pleasure when I play online when I should be doing something else. the time passes so quickly & I realise I've wasted away an entire afternoon!

I don't look upon going out to play Bingo guiltily at all. I deserve the odd evening out, we all do.

I agree Green-Moo. I don't really think of bingo as a guilty pleasure. If I want to do something that is legal and it doesn't hurt anyone else I don't see why I should have to apologise for it. We all deserve a bit of fun in our lives.

Bingo actually works out as quite a cheap night out really, compared to going out for a meal or even going to the pub. Although I normally have a drink, I'm too busy concentrating on the games to have more than one or two.

The only cost that I resent is the cost of parking, our local bingo halls are all town centre premises and street parking is impossible, so you have to park at a nearby council car park and walk. The car park charge is a rip off and I don't like walking in the dark, but I couldn't afford to go by taxi. I wish they would move to out of town sites with better parking.

Parking at some of them around here can be hard just because they tend to have small parking lots but I am lucky in that I don't have to pay for parking.

The parking issue puts me off going sometimes, especially in the winter when it is dark and cold. Car sharing would be the ideal answer, but there is nobody who goes to bingo living near me.
