I seem to spend most of my time providing a taxi service for my family and clearing up after them. My free time is spent reading, writing my blog and working on my family tree.

I do enjoy reading whenever I wake up in the wee hours of the morning and can't go back to sleep.

Justontime, I feel your pain with the taxi thing!! The downside of living off the beaten track is that it's a good long drive every time someone needs to go soomewhere. Once my kids get older & start to socialise independantly more I might as well just eat & sleep in the car too.

My oldest children are 17 and 19 and both will be learning to drive soon. It leaves me with very mixed feelings, it will be nice when I don't have so much running around, but I can't help worrying about them being safe on the road. I will still have plenty of driving anyway, because my husband doesn't drive, and I still have another child to taxi around.

I hear you about the taxi service. I seem to be doing that right now with baseball practices and games for two sons. I sometimes think I live in my car and the baseball field.

Justontime, have you discovered anything exciting on your family tree? I was chatting to an Australian guy the other day who was tracking his family and they were all convicts!

No convicts (yet) I have found a Victorian policeman, a tragic suicide, orphaned children sent to the workhouse, lots of agricultural labourers and shoemakers and some very sad accounts of deaths in the first and second world wars. I have also found some distant cousins in USA.
