And you wonder why Noel's House Party got cancelled...
Erm ... because it was crap?
Can't see the gunge idea going down particularly well myself. Can you imagine if you had to go home on the bus? At least you'd get a seat to yourself though ....
As Bingo doesn't seem to be the draw that it once was, i suppose combining it with anything that would pull in a few more bodies would be a good step. I like the BBQ idea though. I can imagine Bingo in the park on a warm evening ...
If you are trying to attract men then food is probably the most likely thing to attract them. I think better transport would help too, because people have problems with parking. I think theme evenings would be fun and they would get people talking more, lots of people go to bingo because they are lonely. What about arranging exchange visits, with players from a different town spending a day at the host town with shopping, bingo and having a look around the town. It would be fun and it would build a community spirit, it may also interest other people who wouldn't bother to go just for a bingo session.
You are quite right Green-Moo better parking is needed, but if they want to attract more young people transport would be an issue too. Many young people don't own cars until their mid 20's and only a minority of students take cars to university. Come to think of it, offering student discount or doing a special student night may be a good way to get younger people interested in bingo.

How about approaching large companies and offering them a reduced rate for employees? My work was always after ideas for nights out that were more than a night at the pub but cheaper than a meal out.
