So has anyone ever won things on the free bingo sites? Or do you normally win more on the paid versions?

The free ones tend to give you bonus points to play with, and the more you win the more you can enter into monthly prize draws and stuff. There aren't any to my knowledge that play free but for cash prizes, although when you play online, many sites will give you a finite amount of free games to try out the site.

Thank you, that was very informative. So basically everything for money costs money? Any of the free ones for points toward gift cards?

No the only ones where you can win cash that are free are the ones where if you win you get drawings for the daily cash prizes. I do have a friend that won one once but it wasn't for a huge amount.
