Default Bingo Halls vs On-line

Do more people in Australia play bingo on-line or in bingo halls?

I have to admit I'm quite ignorant as to what sort of game gets played in Oz? DO you guys play the 90 ball UK style game with lines and full house, or the US style game with shapes and 75 balls?

I've stillnot figured out the exact difference between UK and US. I play UK...how do the shapes come in to play in American?

The UK game plays with 90 numbers, arrange in rows 1-9, 10-19, 20-29, etc. We always only play for a line across, two lines across, full house. Each ticket has only 15 numbers to mark off.

The American game they play with 75 balls, and a card with 25 numbers per ticket. The ticket is square, and has 25 numbers to mark off. They do play a full house, but its called the coverall I believe. They the square has B-I-N-G-O across the top, and I think the numbers are called with the letters, so it's B 1 - 15, I 16 - 30, N 31 - 45, etc. A lot of the games consist of being the first to make a letter or a shape like an arrow or all sorts. There's no line, on to the full house, its the first to cover all the numbers within the required shape.

I tried it online the other night and have to say, I prefered our simpler version. It has an elegance in its simplicity.

I haven't tried the US version but it does sound a little confusing :/ UK bingo is really fun with just the lines and such, doesn't need the shapes and such. Thanks for clearing that up though...I was really curious.

I haven't tried the UK version, and honestly didn't realized that there was a different version than US. US can be a bit overdone at sometimes with the various shapes and what not though.

I have never played the UK version of bingo but is sound like fun. I guess I am used to the US form because I really don't have any trouble with all the different patterns anymore. Now if I could just win more that would be awesome.
