Yes there was a link somewhere on this site from awhile back where they did a study on this. I can see how this is true.

I didn't know about this. I thought it made you slower in my opinion. Turns out I was completely wrong. That is very nice for older people who are wasting their time on the TV. Besides it's something you can do with your family.

I think it works because you are always constantly looking for the numbers and trying to stay ahead so you don't miss anything.

It hurts your head after a while though a bit like when you are on the computer so you need to take breaks. However I can see how it would be good for older people who are stuck in care homes. Anything that can exercise the mind has got to be good. Have you played those mind exercise games by Carol Vorderman? They were good too. Just a little difficult at times.

the mind is just like the body in that it needs regular exercise to stay in tip top condition.

Yes, it can give you what I like to call mind fatigue. Especially if you are in a game will the caller is calling very fast.

Anything that involves thought, concentration and co-ordination helps to keep you mentally stimulated and keeps your brain active brain active. The nice thing about bingo is that it is fun and it has more of a social element than crosswords or those brain training exercises you can play on the computer.

Hi yeah bingo is very good socially. It is good to be able to be amongst people with the same interests as you. Although I love online bingo I don't think you can beat bingo halls for the social factor.

I'm not that keen on internet bingo, I don't think it compares to the real thing and you hear so many stories about people being misled or feeling they have been ripped off. The nice thing about real bingo is that everything is straight forward and you get to know some of the regulars.
