Keeping the mind active is good for everyone, but social activities which keep the mind busy such as Bingo are particularly useful in care homes and the like.

Another good thing about bingo in care homes etc is that many of the older people will be familiar with bingo so they will not be worried about learning rules and it may bring bring back lots of happy memories for them.

Yes you are right. Elderly people love playing bingo. If you can get elderly people reminiscing it is always a good thing.

I no that McDonalds here runs a bingo one morning out of the week for the senior citizens. I am not sure if they play for fun, prizes or money. But I know that they seem to enjoy it from what I have seen and heard.

McDonalds run a bingo? WOW I never heard of that before that is excellent. They do not do that where I live. I think it is fantastic, but it is a shame they only do it for senior citizens I would love to join in the bingo at McDonalds.

The one near us does a mums and tots session (sorry, we have to say parents and tots these days). I don't think ours does anything else, but it is nice that they try to do something for the community.

I hear you. I wish that I could go also. But from what I have heard they really have a good time. I think it is nice that they open their place for something like this.

I'm a young bingo player so hopefully don't need to be worrying too much about "keeping my mind active" - but I might do as the years pass by!
