My first time was 26 years ago in the Roath labour Club on Broadway in Cardiff. I didn't take it too seriously at the time, and was a bit noisy - although I did get a few laughs. I'm now silent as a mouse when I play. Ahh - memories!
Well I'm not going to give away my age, but all I'll say is that it was my grandmother who introduced me to bingo. I have fond memories of us dropping my grandad off at the bookies then stopping for some cakes on the way to the bingo hall. We always shared our winnings, and after one great day we bought a parrot which is still alive.
Hi Dio, ofcourse we did, but the most amazing thing was we taught him to sing the opening line of 'when the boat comes in', and he always sang it when the show was on telly.
OMG no way, my gran bought a parrot after a really good win as well, how freaky is that?
my earliest bingo memories are from primary school, when it was the last week before christmas, and it seemed school became fun for a week. We used to play bingo in maths class. no special pens, handmade bingo sheets, but i loved it all the same![]()
