Well there are nut jobs out there for sure. Educate can be lost at times and I have a low tolerance for disrespect for sure.

Just, I agree. Rudeness seems to me to be hitting epidemic proportions. There is hardly anywhere you can go where the Rude don't show up. What really bothers me is when kids are rude with their parents right there, and the parents don't say a word. There's an old saying that the apple doesn't fall far from the tree, maybe it applies here.

I see right through people who are rude just to get a leg up in the game. I use to think it was annoying and it may have worked on me once, but not again.

Quite frankly I think it's showing a level of insecurity on their part.

I agree - what happened to the hand shake at the end and just playing for the sake of having fun.

Molly you are right! In UK the government seems to be telling parents what to do in every aspect of their parenting. I strongly disapprove because in a way it seems to suggest that people can not be effective parents without experts to guide them. This is absolute nonsense, parents need to face up to their responsibilities, give the child love as well as clear and consistent guidelines and teach them to respect others. If they start as they mean to go on we wouldn't have as many out of control teens and rude, selfish adults. Instead of suffocating everyone with the 'nanny state' the government should focus their attention on the people who clearly need help with parenting.

Lets face it, bingo like everything is not exempt from the rudery of modern life. Unfortunately bingo staff have to stay conform to the law when dealing with rudeness. In general this means having to be the adult in what generally boils down to and adult/child psychological situation.

It can be shocking how rude some people can be, but I've seen worse behavior working in a bread shop, and that was just the staff! Lord only knows how we stayed in business for so long!

I agree with Snappy, as long as it doesn't get out of hand. The best thing to do is humour the idiots, karma will do the rest.

Unfortunately this problem is not specific to bingo, life has got worse in general since the banning of the 'birch', the best cure for rude modern people is to laugh at them. This can be a bit risky at times, but rude people like the attention, although not as a subject of derision, so it's an apt punishment - although I'm not sure how someone like Gala would be able to work it into their club policy - any suggestions???
