I just bought a farm!

It sounds great, I love growing vegetables but could never keep cattle.

Wow that is very cool! What are you planing to do with it? Will you sell products with it? I used to play a farm game called Harvest Moon and it was pretty addictive but I don't see myself in a farm.

Farming I would imagine would be hard work but nowadays to be able to be self sufficient on food alone would be great. Good luck to you!

We're already pretty self sufficient in veg etc, but it's a big step to go from feeding ourselves to making a profit commercially!

It will be quite a while until we are up and running as there is allot of work to do. The house needs a complete overhaul, so expect me to disappear off the net shortly. I'm going to go stay there in a caravan for a while to be close to the action.

Well, Green, when you do "disappear" we will miss you but we know it's in aid of a good cause. When I serve up our veg for dinner, I'll be thinking of you.

Starting from the ground up allows us to do some things we'd not do otherwise, like installing all the energy from solar and wind turbines BUT it's allot of work! I've spent to day working my backside off.

That is great that you are going to wind turbines. That will save you money right there. I can just imagine how sore you must be at the end of the day though.

id love to have a farm. i could let the kids run for the whole day and they would be soooo entertained. but to grow your own food is great.
