Nervous! Just got a job as a bingo caller? Does anyone goto Bingo?

Hello everyone,

I just wanted to get some advice. I just got a job as a bingo caller. I am fine at calling the numbers but am not particulary fast with adding and subtracting. So Im worried about the money part as they said I will have to give out the prize money too? So I have two questions?

1) How can I be giving out the prize money when Im up there on the stage? Or do you think they mean when im not calling the numbers I will be giving out prize money?

2) The pize money isnt silly numbers like £6.37p etc?? Is it more like £5, £10 etc???

Hi Micah,

you're right on both parts. You won't be giving it out when you're up on stage and you usually they round it up, except on link and national type games. If you're sorting out the prize money, they always used to do it with calculators where I was, and I'm sure they will do the same too. Good luck with it!
